I collaborated with business stakeholders, development teams, external partners, and vendors to deliver
enterprise API integrations. Acting as a technical liaison, I reviewed partner API specifications,
facilitated technical discussions, translated business requirements into technical implementation plans, and
coordinated integration activities to ensure successful delivery across multiple teams.
As the platform owner for the Axway API Gateway, I managed gateway configurations, coordinated vendor-delivered
enhancements, supported deployments, and oversaw the platform’s operational support. Working within a
containerized microservices environment on OpenShift Container Platform, I exposed backend services through
the API Gateway and implemented security controls such as OAuth2, JWT and configuring certificates
for HTTPS to secure enterprise and partner integrations.
In addition to project delivery, I investigated failed API transactions, analyzed logs, performed root cause analysis,
and provided Level 3 support for critical integration issues. I worked closely with internal teams, external
partners, and vendors to troubleshoot integration problems, coordinate production readiness activities, and
support successful production deployments.
I developed enterprise integration solutions using webMethods, Layer7 API Gateway,
and later Google Apigee, connecting internal applications, enterprise platforms, and external partner systems.
Working across the full delivery lifecycle, I collaborated with business stakeholders and technical teams to
understand requirements, design and implement integration solutions, coordinate testing, support deployments,
and provide production support to ensure reliable enterprise services.
In addition to developing integration services in webMethods, I implemented API gateway solutions to securely expose
backend services and manage APIs. This included developing API proxies, configuring security policies,
implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT, configuring certificates
for HTTPS, and building reusable shared flows and API products to support secure API delivery.
During the organization’s migration from Layer7 to Google Apigee, I became the sole developer responsible
for implementing API gateway requirements on the new platform. Working from an established framework, I
translated existing gateway capabilities into Apigee by selecting the appropriate platform components and
implementation patterns while collaborating with teammates to validate technical approaches and resolve
challenges.
Throughout each project, I collaborated with developers, vendors, and external partners to
clarify requirements, review API specifications, coordinate testing activities, support production
deployments, and provide Level 3 support for API and integration solutions.
Supported API integration delivery for a telecoms startup working towards becoming the Philippines' third major network operator. Coordinated with external vendors on technical deliverables and ensured integration solutions met business and technical requirements across CRM, mobile apps, and billing systems using Oracle Service Bus. The venture was ultimately discontinued when the parent company sold the whole company and its assets.
Worked as a software engineer deployed across three telco client engagements — PLDT (Philippines), Celcom (Malaysia), and Telekom Malaysia — contributing to large-scale digital transformation projects. Developed integration solutions connecting CRM, billing, and provisioning systems using Oracle Service Bus. Involved across the full delivery lifecycle including documentation, solution design, development, testing, and post-deployment support.
